Where is Cawsburger located?
Cawsburger is located at 2 Churchyard, Hitchin, SG5 1HR. We are right in the heart of the town centre, just a short walk from St Mary's Church and the historic Hitchin Market.
Can I book a table at Cawsburger?
We are a walk-in-only restaurant, so tables are first-come, first-served. Just rock up and grab a seat. Even on our busy Friday and Saturday nights the turnover is quick, so you'll never be waiting long for your burger.
Do you offer vegan and vegetarian burgers?
Yes, we offer fantastic vegan and vegetarian options and can swap any beef patty for a veggie alternative. We're incredibly proud to say our plant-based option won Best Plant-Based Burger at the 2026 National Burger Awards, so our meat-free burgers are seriously good.
Is your menu gluten-free friendly?
Yes, we can make almost everything on our menu fully gluten-free. We use a specially made gluten-free coating for all of our fried chicken and wings, and we use designated gluten-free fryers in our kitchen to ensure there's no cross-contamination. Just let our team know your dietary requirements when ordering.
Do you offer takeaway and collection in Hitchin?
Yes, we offer a quick and easy click-and-collect service. Simply order directly via our website, choose your collection time, and swing by the shop to pick up your food. We don't currently offer delivery, so collection is the best way to get your Cawsburger fix at home.
Are you open on Sundays?
We are closed on Sundays to give the team a well-earned rest, but our grills are fired up and ready to go Monday through Saturday.
Do you sell gift vouchers or have a loyalty scheme?
Yes, you can buy Cawsburger gift vouchers directly through our website to email to yourself or a mate. We also have a loyalty scheme built right into our tills and online ordering system. Just sign up when you order, and you'll automatically earn points towards free food whether you're eating in or grabbing a takeaway.
Do you cater for private events?
Yes, you can hire out the entire Cawsburger shop in Hitchin for private events and parties. If you want the place to yourself to celebrate with friends, family, or your team, just get in touch with us through our website to chat about dates and availability.
